No. Colorado treats Class 1 and 2 e-bikes like bicycles: no driver's license, registration, or insurance. Assist stops at 20 mph, and Class 2 bikes add a throttle. Everything we rent is Class 1 or 2.

On every paved trail in Larimer County, on streets, and on bike lanes. Natural-surface trails in the county, including the singletrack at Devil's Backbone, are off limits to e-bikes, with a narrow exception for riders with mobility disabilities. Rules differ by land manager; our briefing covers the details, and our trail guide lists every route with its manager's rules quoted, sourced, and dated.

Ridden gently, 30 to 60 miles depending on the bike, the assist level, wind, and climbing. The touring bikes we send up the canyon are sized for the full 40-mile round trip with room to spare.

Probably better than okay. The cruisers are step-through and stable, the assist erases the hard parts, and the Recreation Trail is car-free. Take the Loveland Loop tour if you would like company your first time out.

A helmet, a lock, and a real route briefing. Kid trailers and child seats are a few dollars more. Helmets are required on our bikes; riders under 16 ride with an adult.

Front Range weather keeps its own schedule. If we cancel a ride or tour for weather, you rebook or get a full refund, your choice.

Cancel 24 hours ahead for a full refund on rentals and tours. Inside 24 hours we will work with you, honestly, but we cannot promise a refund on a bike that sat reserved.

A card hold while the bike is out: $100 for cruisers and commuters, $250 for touring bikes. Released at return; damage beyond normal wear comes out of it.

Our tours end at Lake Estes, outside the park boundary. Park rules for bicycles and e-bikes are the National Park Service's to set and change; if you plan to ride in, check the park's current rules first, and we will tell you what we know when you pick up.
